Best out of waste Bookmarks

Book lovers have always fancied bookmarks in every shape and form. A nice fancy tag on your brand new jeans can become a bookmark or something with a nice motif print can also become a bookmark. Some days back I felt creative and decided to do something out of the articles that I no more used. So what I found was my niece’s shoe box, a box of sketch pens which was long forgotten, ice cream sticks which were taken from neighboring shop’s dustbin… hahaha okay just kidding ;), I actually had them from school time but never used them. So I thought of making bookmarks because I have many friends who love reading books and this could be an excellent gift.

So, what I did was, I cut down the shoe box in different shapes and thought of some cutesy images. The moustache has been in an upward trend since quite some time and I really find it super cute so that was something I had to make. Next were the OH-SO-LUSCIOUS lips which were an inspiration from the Red Lips that are doing the rounds since time immemorial. Then was the king, the cow, the girl and the bird which were all random ideas.

Firstly I drew the shapes on the shoe box as seen above, then I cut those shapes and coloured them. I also gave them a detailed look and this is how they appeared.

Now I stuck each of these on different ice cream sticks and ta daaaaaaaaaa my bookmarks are ready :D
